James S. Fishbein DDS aims to provide individuals with a comfortable and relaxing environment where we strive to exceed your expectations through professional results and our friendly staff.


Merrianne (RDH)


Merrianne graduated from New Hampshire Technical Institute, with a degree
in Dental Hygiene, in 1979. A Portsmouth native, Merrianne has spent her
entire professional career practicing here in the Seacoast. She joined Dr.
Fishbein’s practice in 1990, and has played an integral part in the success
of the practice.
Merrianne has developed a loyal following of patients who appreciate her
thoroughness, caring, and gentle touch. Through many continuing education
courses, she has obtained excellent knowledge of oral medicine and the
relationship between dental disease and systemic diseases. Along with Dr.
Fishbein, Merrianne has been a member of the New Hampshire Dental Forensic
Identification Team.
When not caring for patients, Merrianne enjoys spending time with her
husband Bob and their five grown children. She especially cherishes the
time she can spend at her lake house in Maine.

Barbara (RDH)


Barbara graduated from the New Hampshire Technical Institute with a degree
in Dental Hygiene in 1999. She received the dental hygiene student of the
year award, as well as an award for excellence in biochemistry. Barbara has
practiced on the Seacoast for fourteen years, and she joined Dr, Fishbein’s
practice in 2012.
An accomplished composer and musician, Barbara performs regularly here on
the Seacoast with several bands.

Kate (Dental Assistant)


Kate received her certification in dental assisting from Dental Careers, in
Portland, Maine. She also trained at Great Lakes Dental Laboratory, in
Buffalo New York, where she attained certification in the fabrication of
mouth guards, orthodontic appliances, and model articulation. In addition
to her primary role of chairside assisting, Kate is also responsible for
many of the lab procedures, including fabrication of bleaching trays, crown
and bridge and implant stents, and model work.

Aimee (CDA, Front Desk Manager, Insurance Coordinator)


Aimee graduated from the New Hampshire Technical Institute with a degree in
Dental Assisting in 1996. While in training, she did her externship in Dr.
Fishbein’s office, and upon graduation, she became a full-time staff
member. Aimee has held many positions during her career here. She started
as a chairside assistant, and in 2004 became certified in coronal
polishing. She then worked primarily as a hygiene assistant for eight
years.
Aimee is now the front desk manager and insurance coordinator. Her role
includes scheduling, handling patient inquiries,and she is extremely
knowledgable in dealing with dental insurance companies. She takes many
continuing education courses to maintain her certification.
Aimee looks forward to welcoming you to our practice, and in helping you
with all of your dental needs.

Faith (Front Desk)


A 1963 graduate of Husson College, Faith joined Dr. Fishbein’s practice in
1990. During her tenure, she has been responsible for patient assistance
in scheduling, billing, and insurance. Although retired and enjoying
spending time with her family, including nine grandchildren, Faith
continues to assist in the office a few hours each month, and enjoys
helping many of the long time patients she has grown to know over her many
years with the practice.

Sue (RDH)


Sue has been working in the dental profession for 35 years. She graduated from a dental assisting program in 1982, and went on to earn a degree in dental hygiene from Forsythe School of Dental Hygiene in 1986.

Sue joined our practice in March, 2016 and looks forward to providing exceptional and caring hygiene services to many of the patients in our practice.

Sue enjoys spending her leisure time with family, gardening, baking and going to the gym.

Susan (CDA)


Susan graduated from New Hampshire Technical Institute in 2000. She received her degree as a Certified Dental Assistant. Susan has a working knowledge of general oral surgery and periodontics as well as general dentistry. She is a longtime member of DANB (Dental Assisting National Board). In her spare time, Susan is an amateur photographer who specializes in outdoor nature photography.
